Bob Gillund
(Director of Baseball Operations / Advanced
Pitching Instructor)
started
his baseball career as a pitcher at Andrew HS, then pitched at the College
of St. Frances and Olivet Nazarene University. After completing a successful
college career, Bob signed with the Atlanta Braves. He later worked as a
pitching coach at Andrew HS. During Bob's 17 years as a coach, his teams
compiled over 400 victories and won the Illinois State Championship in 1991
and 1992. He has had outstanding success in developing young pitchers at
every level. He has numerous players playing at the major college and pro
levels. His training techniques are second to none. One of his top pitchers,
Kris Honel, was described as "the most polished pitcher coming out of the
major league draft".
Garrick
Pranchke
(Advanced Hitting
Instructor)
is one of the top coaches in the area. He played and coached at Grand Valley
State where he was an All-Conference 3rd Baseman. He has coached the Upper
Deck Cougars for the last 4 years where 22 out of his 23 players are
currently playing college baseball throughout the country.
Keith
Nawrocki (Pitching
Instructor) graduated from Andrew HS and St. Joe's College. He
signed with the N.Y. Yankees and played for the Kalamazoo Kings. Keith is
now one of the top pitching instructors at the academy.

Frank
Yaeger
(Director of Softball Operations / Advanced Hitting Instructor) has coached and
managed girls travel fastpitch teams
for 15 years.
Frank is one of the top girls hitting instructors in the area. He has
coached several Division I, II & III level players along with top high
school players to his credit. Most recently, Frank successfully trained
Caitlin Gidcumb whom was the Freshman Player of the Year 2007, All-Area, and
2nd Team All-American at Olivet Nazarene University. He brings his
expertise in Customer Service and managerial skills to the everyday
operations of the Ball Park. Frank's passion for sports and his ability to
communicate with the public make him the ideal Manager for our facility.
Mike Watt (Advanced Pitching Instructor) started his Fastpitch
softball career in the mid 60's in Central Illinois. In the 70's through the
90's Mike pitched for men's A and AA teams such as the Kankakee Feds and
Tobey Truckers. Mike also pitched for the Men's Masters team, Nohren Farms,
where he participated in state and national tournaments finishing as state
champions and in the top 5 in national tournaments. Mike has been coaching
fastpitch for the last 12 years.
Jen
Raferty
(Softball
Pitching Instructor) graduated from Mother McAuley HS and St.
Xavier University as a 4 year starting pitcher in both institutions. She
currently works at the White Sox Training center and is assistant softball
coach at Marist HS. Jen has several pitching honors and was voted St.
Xavier's MVP in 2001. Jennna
Yaeger
(Softball
Pitching Instructor) graduated from Lincoln-Way HS and UIC as an
all around player. She
has
coached the Girls Travel Ball at the 10U level. She currently is a Teacher
and Softball Coach at the Bourbannais Upper Grade School (7th-8th Grade).
Along with her pitching knowledge, she coaches Track and trains the students
in Speed & Agility. |
